About Me

A photo of me taken a longish time agoMy name is Jackson Howell (Jack), I’m 22 and a professional Web Designer from Cornwall (“they have computers there?” yes – heard all those before), UK, and now live near Peterborough.

My interest in digital design started at Truro College when I was working away on a Art & Design Diploma and was introduced to Photoshop and Fireworks during media classes – this sparked an instant interest and I excelled with computer based work. I started a ‘career’ in Web Design in late 2005 as a freelancer learning the tools of the trade such as HTML, php, Photoshop and other Adobe software by creating websites for friends and family while I was still at College.

In late 2006 I joined Bluestone Creative and work for E4education designing fantastic websites for schools which gives me great scope to create everything from corporate secondary school websites to happy colourful primary school websites.

Finally – Me? I’m quiet but not shy. Talkative but not a chatterbox. Young but not immature (so I’d like to think). I live with my lovely partner Stef in the middle of the Rutland country side along with our 2 (mad) cats Arthur and Evie.

About This Site

GlassHills was a name I made up completely – It was short, easy to remember and I couldn’t find anyone else using it bar a few foreign .ltd companies who I’m sure will not be too upset.

The aim of this site is to be a blog (“really?” you gasp?) about the things I’m skilled in and interested in and to work as a showcase for my work. So if you’re interested in things such as web design, css, xbox 360 games and strong opinions (with the occasional argument I’m sure) then please feel free to leave a comment or get in touch.
